Muslim terrorists using child porn images
I just read something amazing here.
Muslim terrorists are hiding messages in child pornography pictures, according to the British newspaper 'The Times'. The Telegraph is basically making the same statement, almost copying the Times. The Times' research is based on some findings after Scotland Yard anti terrorism swoops in Italy and Spain.
Several things about this gives me thought on how completely stupid this is. It's like a thief hiding stolen rolexes in their stolen car. It's stupid. Why would anyone hide steganographically hidden messages in pictures that are illegal in about 99% of the countries? You know the police are looking to find culprits of this type of pornography and if you, as a terrorist, hide messages in pictures of this type, you know the police will find it and try to find whoever is sending it......
You might not be tried for terrorism but I think that, in most countries, the sentence for child pornography is a lot longer than the sentence for planning a terrorist attack (without actually having executed said attack).
Scotland Yard found, during the raids, sometimes a few pictures,
sometimes up to 40k pictures relating to child pornography and though that is very disgusting and those who watched it (and I don't even want to know what else they did with it) should be put in a nice dark, damp jail without any possibility of a key being found to re-open it, I think it's a highly improbable way of sending any kind of message anywhere. If you want to use steganography to send messages from one person to another....use your website or flickr or whatever. Don't go sending childporn because it will only attract unwanted attention unless you love being loved by 'Bubba'.
